Over the last year working with Natalie I have learned so much! I have a much better understanding of the proper foods to eat, when to eat them and how much to eat. I also have learned proper form in different exercises and how to do them. She has been a wonderful support to me on this journey to a better lifestyle. I have lost nearly 20 pounds and anywhere from an inch to several inches around my waist, hips, thighs, calves and arms. It has been an amazing transformation for me. I now feel more confident in my own skin, not to mention much stronger both physically and mentally. When I began the Back to Basics Sugar Rehab diet it was a struggle. I had to give up many things that I was so used to eating and drinking. As the weeks went by I became more used to my new diet. Now it’s been 3 and a half months and it is second nature. While I don’t stick to the diet 100%, it has given me a great guideline on what’s best for my body and health. The majority of my diet is still from the Back to Basics list with some of my favorite “not so good for you” dishes sprinkled in between. Training with Natalie has been a great opportunity for me and my overall well-being. She plans workouts specific for my body type and my goals. She is always supportive, encouraging and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Over my time with her she’s become more than a trainer to me, she is also a friend. Thank you for everything Natalie! I love Natalie Kimball Fitness! Ever since joining Natalie Kimball Fitness, I have been progressing consistently, with both nutrition and training. I have been in the BEST shape of my life since joining. I have found myself progressing consistently with both nutrition and training. I am much more aware of my lifestyle choices, such as when I go out to eat I know exactly how to order.I feel the youngest I have ever felt! I used to think that the way to be “healthy” involved as many minutes as possible on the elliptical as well as eating as little as possible. Natalie has changed my idea of what a healthy lifestyle looks like. She is a great role model because she lives the lifestyle herself and shows you that it’s possible to do no matter where you are at in life. Having Natalie as a trainer is not the typical experience you get in a gym; it’s more than meeting with someone for an hour and then forgetting all about it for the rest of the week. Natalie is present with you even when you are not working out with her. Natalie has great meal plans and nutrition resources; through her meal plans I have learned about the balance of nutrients we need and the types of foods that fuel our bodies. Also, I have never been hungry! She is always willing to answer questions outside your sessions and encourage you with communication throughout the week. Working out with Natalie is also a unique experience. One of my favorite things about it is that it’s just you and her and you don’t have to worry about anyone else but yourself. Strength training was something I never really understood but Natalie has shown me the benefits and I have seen major results. I have not only lost 30 pounds in 3 months, but have also gained strength and see the transformation in my body. I am doing exercises I thought I could never do, my energy level is way up, and I just feel all around great after the workouts because the exercises we do really work! It isn’t just hours spent on a machine with few results. As I go through this change in my physical health, I have seen the change come into all aspects of my life. My mood is different, my priorities are different, and I feel more confident in who I am. Mental health has always been a passion of mine (one day I want to go into counseling). Part of this process has been learning how much your physical health (aka what you feed your body and what you do with it) affects your mental health. I actually gained the confidence and clarity to change career paths in order to follow my passion and I know my fitness journey with Natalie had a lot to do with it! It sounds crazy but it’s true. At first I thought I would be excited about the visible changes in my body, which yes I am! But I am even more thankful for the personal development and evidence of feeling healthier through this process of training! Natalie is a support system as well as an expert in what she does. She encourages me to test my limits and keep going even when it’s hard. She is also a REAL person and the hour-long sessions tend to generally fly by because we talk about life the whole time! So, there I was sitting on the couch in my living room unmotivated and exhausted. I was frustrated because I knew I was packing on the pounds and I needed to do something about it. I am a mother and a significant other with a full time job. I worked 60+ hours a week. Between that, regular household duties, and my son’s extracurricular activities I already feel a bit overwhelmed at times. I thought “I need a personal trainer to get me motivated.” I thought about the time and believed I owed it to myself. I thought about the money and had to remind myself all the hundreds of dollars spent on useless games and items spent on my other half and son and that I was worth the money too. I googled personal trainers, found thumbtack and saw that it would send potential trainers to me. From there I found Natalie and I must say it was an exceptional choice. Initially it was her professionalism and energy that made me believe she was the right choice. Six months and 47 pounds later I have found a coach that is motivating. Her meal plan has gave me a simple but healthy way to eat that transcends to the table at home for better options for my family. She pushes you and escalates your work out to a degree that gets results but doesn’t have you limping around in pain. Any questions I have if she knows it she volunteers the information and if she doesn’t know she will research it to get you an answer. She has been as passionate about my journey as I have and she doesn’t hold punches if I get off the track that gets me results. Coming from a person who said “I don’t need a personal trainer”, I’m very glad I chose Natalie. I wouldn’t take it back for anything. I’ve worked muscle I didn’t know I had. She pushes me harder than I would ever do at home. Now, when I go to her gym, I am ready to bust out some reps, and I know I can. I remember the first day at Natalie’s I thought I was going to die. I didn’t. Now, I show up every week. Eager to workout, and eager to learn to exercises. I know I will get a great workout from a great trainer who is looking out for me as an individual. One year apart. on the left, same dress. It’s been a continual journey that won’t ever fully be over. I’ve had to completely relearn how to feed my body. When I was first diagnosed with hashimotos, I thought that once I started my medication that I’d lose all the weight and be back to normal. It didn’t happen. I had to learn the hard way that my body was different and without effort I would never feel better or be a healthy weight. I’ve gone through multiple doctors, years of training with Natalie all while both succeeding and failing at eating and exercising correctly. I’m learning how to cook more nutritious and healthy foods and establishing new habits. Natalie does an exceptional job at identifying ways to help me achieve my goals both physically and mentally. Each session is private and therefore all attention is focused on my needs. She is understanding and adaptive yet isn’t afraid to hold you accountable and give the push I need to stay on track. I’ve been training with Natalie and I think she’s absolutely amazing! When I started training with her in Feb 2017 I had a lot of problems with mobility from a surgery on my foot that was never rehabilitated properly. Natalie took the time and effort to work with me through all those limitations and within 6 months I had almost 100% range of motion back; when my doctor asked me how it got better I told him my personal trainer did his job for him! That’s not the only reason Natalie is amazing; she’s always growing as a person and trainer, always researching and learning ways she can improve so her clients can improve. She’s been able to anticipate needs I didn’t even know I had and I’m now actively working with her to not only look great but also FEEL great, inside and out. My boyfriend and I were introduced to Natalie by a friend who was seeing some INCREDIBLE results. As somebody who already worked out regularly, and felt like I was in good shape (mountain climbing, etc…), I was skeptical that working out with Natalie would make much of a difference boy, was I COMPLETELY WRONG! Workouts with Natalie are challenging, intense and fun. Every single workout is new and creative – we literally never do the same workout twice, so my body simply keeps getting stronger to adapt, instead of hitting a ‘boredom plateau’. Natalie customizes each workout specifically towards what her clients want and she pays careful attention to watching proper form of each movement. As somebody who has had two shoulder surgeries, I can say that I have never felt uncomfortable and/or been at a risk of injury under Natalie’s guidance. Over the course of several months, my boyfriend and I literally had the opportunity to watch our bodies transform. I have become much more lean and developed stronger muscles that help me enjoy my favorite hobbies even more! Workouts with Natalie are BRUTAL but her enthusiasm, creativity and genuine passion for what she does is contagious. I travel a lot for work, and Natalie even helped me to create workouts that I could do by myself in a hotel gym while traveling. I have always been a very active person who enjoys working out. I’m also usually very positive and outgoing; however, I started training with Natalie during a tough time when anxiety & depression were taking a pretty big toll on me. I’ve used running as an outlet for years, but because of that, I’ve accumulated various aches/injuries from overuse and strengthening issues. I originally went to Natalie to train for an event and work on injury prevention. I didn’t anticipate that my mental health would end up improving just as much as my physical health, but having her constant support, motivation and friendship throughout the last couple of months has helped me start to feel like myself again, and for that I am truly grateful! I think my favorite part about training with Natalie (aside from Doodle) is the fact that she makes every session fun and really puts an emphasis on maintaining proper form during exercises, which is something I definitely needed to work on. Plus she always makes sure to turn on all the fans and the ghetto rap music when I show up to ensure I’m getting the most out of my workout . Looking forward to many more ass kickings from this girl!

Hello, I’m a 52 year old woman. I’ve exercised most of my life however not consistently and I thought I was eating pretty clean. But being premenopausal I gained 20lbs and couldn’t get it off! I changed my diet several times and even started running to finish my first 10K at 51. But nope couldn’t drop those 20lbs…… So I started researching PT’s on the web. I did know that a gym wasn’t for me. Also I tried different classes already and it just didn’t motivate me. My occupation causes me to sit most of the day so that didn’t help but not an excuse, I know. I also knew I wanted a woman trainer that would be patient with my bad knees etc. I did want to lean up build muscle but avoid injury is most important. Over all be a healthy body and mind! I was new to the area so didn’t have any good referrals but found Natalie Kimball on thumbtack. I then checked out her webpage. So I decided to meet for a consultation and yes I was bias because she was young. However I’ve had PT in the past and Natalie brought a new perspective for me. She spoke on how posture, balance and core were what we needed to focus on first. Plus I started her BackToBasics nutrition plan. I <3 her positive, kind and encouraging nature most of all! I started training with her twice a week, along with her nutrition plan. And yes started seeing REAL results in just a few months to reach personal goals. I started this fitness journey after being diagnosed with a medical condition myself. I realized that MY health was in MY hands and I needed to take action and that time was now. If I didn’t set myself up for success and provide my body with all the benefits to fight this condition, then I was setting myself up for failure. I’ve learned that I’m worth it! My health and wellbeing is so worth the time and effort. I’ve never been a “gym person”. I’ve always been intimidated walking into a gym, partly because I just never knew where to start. I’ve gained so much confidence since working out with Natalie. I’ve realized I’m capable of things I used to think I couldn’t do. And today for example I did something I normally wouldn’t have done in the past which is go to the gym with my boyfriend. Since he is very much into working out and I was not, I used to be intimidated to go with him. But today I went for the first time and it was a great experience which brought us closer and now is something we can share together.

Playing lacrosse in college forced me to workout seven days a week. Because I was working out so often I could eat WHATEVER I wanted and wouldn’t gain any weight. Post college I found that I really didn’t know how to eat correctly and didn’t have the motivation to work out without a team and scheduled workouts. The biggest thing for me was really taking a step back and looking at what I was eating. And what I realized was that a lot of things that I thought were healthy, actually were not. The second part of that was figuring out how much I should be eating. It’s not something that I ever really thought about before. Having had two shoulder surgeries I found myself constantly avoiding certain lifting activities because of the instability. I dreaded push-ups and pull-ups and pretty much had written them off as something I didn’t do. I am still definitely not where I want to be, but I am working towards being able to do pull ups and not worry that my arm will give out. My favorite thing about Natalie’s training is that it is fast paced and circuit style. The workout changes daily so I never know what to expect. I do know that each day I walk in I will be pushed to work as hard as I can and will enjoy every second of it. Before I met Natalie I was looking for something to jump start my fitness. Not only did I gain that, but I also gained a support system, a wonderful role model, and a great friend.

My understanding of nutrition has totally taken a 180 for the better! I am much more conscious of protein, sugar, and macros. I have spent hours in the grocery store really studying everything before I buy and feel much more knowledgeable about what I should be eating and what I should be avoiding. I have noticed changes and haven’t felt this good in a bikini in a long time! I am still trying really hard to eat better and smaller portions. I will have really good days and then major slips where I regret it later. I need to be harder on myself and say no. That has always been the hardest thing for me but having Natalie continue to push me is keeping me motivated. I have missed having a “coach” who pushes me past my comfort zone and past my limits. I became stagnant and did the same workout everyday and was frustrated with the results. I love all of the changes every session and challenging me more and more!
